NCIA & CCIA'S CALIFORNIA CANNABIS BUSINESS CONFERENCE CALL FOR PROPOSALS NOW OPEN!
Interested in being a speaker at NCIA & CCIA's California Cannabis Business Conference? You’re in luck! We are currently accepting speaker applications until April 30, 2018 for our 2nd Annual California Cannabis Business Conference taking place in Anaheim, CA October 22-23, 2018.

CCIA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT
Speaker proposals from individuals operating a business in the cannabis industry must be members of CCIA in order to be considered. Rare exceptions to the members-only rule are only made on the occasion when a speaker proposal is made by someone who isn’t an industry operator. These exceptions are typically only made for academics doing research on the cannabis industry or marijuana policy, elected officials, and other public servants. Find out more about membership or join online today at http://www.cacannabisindustry.org/join-ccia.

SUBMISSION PROCESS
Interested speakers can submit proposals through April 30, 2018. After that, no new submissions will be accepted for the 2nd Annual California Cannabis Business Conference. Only those who have completed the form below will be considered as a speaker. Any proposal submitted through this form will only be considered as a potential session for the 2nd Annual California Cannabis Business Conference and will not be considered for any other NCIA or CCIA event.

Only new, original content will be considered. Please do not submit a proposal for a session that you have already presented somewhere else (even at a previous NCIA or CCIA event).

Please note that we receive a number of excellent proposals for our educational events, and we appreciate your understanding that this is a highly selective process. As such, please take the time to develop your proposals as thoroughly as possible before submitting through the form below so that your best work is being evaluated by your peers.

REFERENCE REQUIRED FOR FIRST TIME SPEAKERS
If you are applying to speak for the first time at a CCIA event, CCIA must receive at least ONE REFERENCE LETTER from a client you have served or colleague you have worked with. Weighted consideration will be given to references from clients who are also CCIA members. Reference letters should be attached to your proposal or emailed directly from the referring client or colleague to CCIA's Executive Director, Lindsay Robinson, at media@cacannabisindustry.org. Your application to speak at a CCIA event WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED until a reference letter has been received.

REVIEW PROCESS
Once you have completed this form, your submission will be reviewed and evaluated by CCIA & NCIA staff, and CCIA's member-led committees. You may be contacted following your submission with additional questions regarding your submission. Selected speakers will be notified starting in May.

NO PITCHING POLICY
All general sessions are noncommercial. Speaker(s) will not solicit any business or promote business during their session. Please note: attendees will be asked for feedback regarding this matter on speaker’s individual session evaluation.

SPEAKER COMPENSATION
Selected speakers receive complimentary admission to the event. Please note that CCIA does not offer a stipend or speaking fee for speakers and does not pay for or reimburse  travel or accommodations.
