Call for Proposals to Speak at NCIA Conferences in Detroit & Atlantic City

Are you a cannabis industry expert, elected official, author or researcher who's able to share innovative, relevant and practical cannabis knowledge at one of our upcoming conferences? If you fit this description, we’re currently accepting proposals to speak at our Midwest Cannabis Business Conference (Detroit, MI - August 26-27, 2020) and Northeast Cannabis Business Conference (Atlantic City, NJ - October 27-28, 2020).

Submission Process:. Any applicable proposals submitted will be considered for the Midwest Cannabis Business Conference and Northeast Cannabis Business Conference. Please do not submit a proposal for a session that you have already presented at another trade event (even at a previous NCIA event) unless the information is updated.
References: All first-time applicants to NCIA must include 3 professional references; this can be from a client, colleague, or an event organizer from a previous event.
Criteria: Proposals that are collaborative, with diverse voices, and provide an interactive learning experience will be highly preferred. We’re looking for presentations on cannabis industry case studies and research that provide practical takeaways to industry professionals. Please explain how you’d contribute to a panel session in 100 to 150 words and provide 5 learning objectives.

Membership Requirement: Speaker proposals from individuals operating a business in the cannabis industry must be members of NCIA. Exceptions to the members-only rule are only given to academics, elected and other public service officials. Review Process Once you have completed this form, your submission will be reviewed and evaluated by NCIA staff and NCIA’s member-led committees. Speakers selections will be announced at least 3 months from the start of each conference.
No Self or Product Promotion: Speaker(s) will not promote, market or advertise any business during their session. Feedback on this matter will be solicited during individual session evaluations. The program is for educational purposes only.
Speaker Compensation Speakers will receive complimentary admission to the event. Please note that NCIA does not provide a speaking fee or compensate for travel or accommodations. Exceptions are given only to academic and certain public service officials.
