Call for Proposal is Now Being Accepted

We are currently accepting speaker applications for upcoming NCIA's events in 2020.

Submission Process: Interested speakers can submit their proposals through October 2020. Any applicable proposals submitted will be considered for upcoming NCIA events. Please do not submit a proposal for a session that you have already presented at another trade event (even at a previous NCIA event) unless the information is updated.

References: All first-time applicants to NCIA must include THREE professional references; this can be from a client, colleague, or an event organizer from a previous event.

Criteria: Proposals that are collaborative, with diverse voices, and provide an interactive learning experience will be highly favorable. Submission must include a 100 to 150 words max description and four learning objectives.

Membership Requirement: Speaker proposals from individuals operating a business in the cannabis industry must be members of NCIA. Exceptions to the members-only rule are only given to academics, elected, and other public service officials. Find out more about NCIA’s membership or join online today at https://thecannabisindustry.org/join-now/.

Review Process Once you have completed this form, your submission will be reviewed and evaluated by NCIA staff and NCIA’s member-led committees. Speakers selections will be announced at least six months from the start of the conference. Selected speakers will receive a confirmation email outlining role, responsibilities, and requirements for participating.

No Self or Product Promotion:  Speaker(s) will not promote, market or advertise any business during their session. Feedback on this matter will be solicited during individual session evaluations. The program is for educational purposes only.

Speaker Compensation Speakers will receive complimentary admission to the event. Please note that NCIA does not provide a speaking fee or compensate for travel or accommodations. Exceptions are given only to academic and certain public service officials.

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
